[sticky entry] Sticky: Welcome to my journal

With BPS closing their downloads section I had to find a new place to keep all my sims stuff so I transfered all my downloads to this journal. In the process I pruned my downloads a bit so in case you are loooking for a certain item and it's not here, let me know and I will get it to you.
At the moment most entries are simply copies of the original threads so some links might not work or references might be screwed up. I hope to clean everything as soon as possible (and get rid of the awful preview pictures in some of the posts)... Apart from crappy pictures, everything should be all right now!

I tagged all my entries so you should be able to find stuff relatively quickly by using the tags tab at the top or right.
Alternatetively click the Archive tab at the top and then View Subjects underneath the calendar. This should give you a complete list of all entries.

All my meshes should be basegame compatible unless otherwise stated. If you experience any problems, please let me know!

Happy simming,
Marie

Like the last post, this download simply contains the original files by Pixelry with resized textures for meshes and all included recolors. I didn't touch the pouf or the vanity's wood part because those were fairly resonable compared to the object size. The vase, pot and roses not so much (why would you need 1024² pixels for such a small item?) so they now have 512 and 256 respectively. I also shrank the textures for the lamp, shelf and mirror and the glass part of the vanity.

Please get the oiginal set from The Pixelry (in case you don't already have it) because I only included the files I edited.
I didn't change any file names so just let these overwrite the original files.

I haven't posted anything in this journal the whole sims community in years although I have been playing on and off and even creating small things. But since I really started putting in some time during the lockdowns this year, I thought it a good time to post some of things I made for myself. It's mostly going to be edits of other peoples' stuff.

First off is the Ars Botanica Flower set that was converted to S2 by the famously fabulous Pixelry. I simply batch resized the textures from 1024px to 512px and put them back in the original files. Everything looks the same but the packages are way smaller and put less strain on your games graphics and memory (pink flashes, anyone?). I also rectified a naming error and added a missing recolor for the cosmos in a jar because I found the texture in Pixelry's download.

If you already have this set, delete the file called pix_arsbotanica_centerpiece2_rec6 from your downloads folder. The other files will overwrite.

Update: I transferred all downloads to mediafire and replaced all links in the journal. Everything should be downloadable again!

Dear Simmers,

I am aware that many of the links on this journal are currently not working. It's a problem with box, which I also experience for many other files from other people and which I don't know how to fix other than transferring all my content to another file host. Which is what I will do the coming days.

While I am working on that, feel free to browse the following folder that holds all my stuff from box:
Downloads
If individual downloads from this folder don't work for you, try downloading the whole thing. Or wait a few days until I transferred everything to mediafire or dropbox ;)

I'm sorry it took so long for me to answer, I'm going to be more active again in the near future.
Maybe I'll even create something, who knows ;)

Best wishes to all of you,
Marie

While moving all my files I stumbled upon some that I seemingly never put up again after the BPS Backup loss.
Here is one of them, a set of recolors matching my bahtub recolors found here.
As with the bathtub, the mesh is by Tarox and included in my download.

These were requested by KissMe and have the same textures like Jonesi's fireplace from the same request. Thanks to Jonesi for letting me use her texture to make them match exactly.

edit: I noticed some time ago that I wrote unicolored although there is no unicolored wall in the set. The one I was referring to has a subtle flowery pattern so don't wonder where the last wall is when you find three patterned ones in your game ;)

Since there was a request in the request forum and I already had done most of them for myself I decided to add some and share the set.
Hope they will be useful for some of you.

Credit to Hunii for the beautiful frame <3

Edit: I noticed there might be people who do not know how to use these; Just unpack and put into this folder: My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Collections/Icons. They will appear in game between the other maxis made collection icons you can choose from when making a new collection. I categorize all my decorative items since there are way too many and I hate almost all of the maxis stuff. This way I do not have to wade through all the pages with stuff I do not need but simply select for example my "Bathroom Cllutter collection" and decorate
.

Hey there,

Here is a sim I had in my sim bin for quite a while... Since all content except the hair mesh was sim share friendly, I decided to upload her. Meet Georgina Thompson:

The only item not included in the package is the hair which is a raon recolor by mikexx2. Download here.
Thanks and credit to

Veronika/kissme87 uploaded these gorgeous tiles for sims3 and allowed me to make walls and floors with them so the sims 2 players aren't left out.
All credit goes to her for the original texture, I only recolored the texture and put it into sims 2 packages.
You can download the sims 3 version here.

I immediately loved Fanseelamb's new hoodies mesh and had to have more colors. Since they turned out nice I thought I'd share them, so here are three uni colored and six patterned brand new hoodies for your sims !

Since this is the first time I upload clothes please con't be shy to tell me if there's anything wrong with it!

needed some more recolors of BlakeBoy's fabulous Tivoli Plantation Set and so I transferred Buggy's wood texture onto it and recolored it with Aelia's Lonesome/Eco color actions -and some chosen ones (forest, olive, denim, darkteal, chocolate, tomato, rust, indigobrown) from her autumn colors.

There is a total of 26 recolors. The meshes are not included, get them here. You need at least the Tivoli 2 tile coffeetable for them to work.

Have a swatch (snagged the original ones from Aelia's dreamwidth):

I hope some of you find these as useful as I do ^^

Browsing my photobucket album I found the pictures of these coffee table recolors which I hadn't yet put up after the Monthly Makes.
The mesh recolored is by Jope and is included thanks to her policy.

They all have the same dark wood and dark metal clasp, the inlays are different tiles I found on the internet.

Note: Ikea SP is not required.

I'm still in Ikea-mood so today you get Tinhouses' retro desk recolored with Piggy's Ikea-textures.
26 recolors in total, mesh is included thanks to Tinhouse' policy. Hope you can use them.

These are 12 b&w recolors of the Maxis Travel Poster that came with Bon Voyage.
However, the Bon Voyage SP is NOT required.
